Audible - Wynonna Earp Audiograms
Project Overview
A specialized typography commission for Audible, developed with Hi.5 Agency. The objective was to create hand drawn display typefaces that mix western gothic with more modern aesthetics. These served as the primary visual anchor for a high-profile frontier narrative series. After being hand drawn they were vectorized and animated throughout these short key videos.
The Team
Client: Audible
Agency: Hi.5
Senior Art Director: Dan Atwater
Art Director: Abigale Force
Typeface Audiograms: Cole Crossen
The Brief
Working under the direction of Abigale Force and Dan Atwater, I was tasked with developing a unique letterform language that captured the "Modern Western" aesthetic. The agency required a face that felt historically grounded in the American Frontier but possessed the sharp, aggressive elegance of classic Gothic script.
Design Execution & Craft
As the Typeface Designer, my focus was on creating a high-impact display system that balanced legibility with hand drawn type.
